CAROLINO AND SCARPETTE - AN OLDER EXHIBITION AT NILUFAR GALLERY, 2022
Nilufar Gallery presents SCARPETTE & CAROLINO, an exhibition showcasing Danish/Italian studio OLDER’s collections of stools, serving wagons and tables.
The absolute protagonist is the color: in fact, the playful and fun designs are meant to add elements of joy to any living environment but also to offer useful tools. SCARPETTE and CAROLINO were conceived by the duo OLDER, Letizia Caramia and Morten Thuesen, during Christmas 2020, a lockdown period spent together in Tuscany.
To beat moments of dullness, the duo let themselves be inspired by the multitude of leftover materials and scrapped iron found in the studio of Letizia’s father and started to play with them: the result is a multicolor set of “friends” perfect for every setting.
