Carafes, 2019
These cylindrical vessels, with a beak and curvy handle, have been fabricated from white Carrara marble, Lebanese red marble and green onyx marble by one of Pietrasanta's leading marble artisans, Francesco Basini Gazzi, who cut the pieces directly from marble blocks and shaped them by hand with enormous precision and dedication. Inspired by the Scandinavian design tradition of simple organic forms drawn from nature, combined with the living heritage and artisanal expertise of Italian marble.
