Aisatsana, 2019
The Aisatsana cutlery is inspired by a futuristic vision combining Spinners, the flying cars created by neo-futurist concept artist Syd Mead, with the work of Danish functionalist architect Kaj Gottlob. It is named after the piano track “Aisatsana” by the electronic musician Aphex Twin. This unexpected combination has been translated into an organic modernist shape, almost feminine in its delicate proportions, also drawing on the geometry of chopsticks. The pieces were developed in sterling silver by an expert silversmith.
